Refurbishment of a lodge in El Viso (Madrid)

The current project faces a refurbishment of a Lodge in a building placed in El Viso (Madrid), showcase of the most remarkable Modernist Architecture and main bourgeois residential center dating from the 19th century.

Lodges of buildings placed in this remarkable street are traditionally of a great nobility and incorporate classicist elements that confers them great personality.

The design focused on repairing and restoring the original space, respecting the historical structure. Both the restoration and repair of the existing is driven by the idea that the original structure should be emphasized in its spatial context and maintain the original materiality - the new reflects the lost without imitating it.
