Office Design on Calle Serrano (Madrid)
A flexible, non-hierarchical workplace shaped around wellbeing and corporate identity
An office can reinforce a company’s identity while improving the everyday experience of the people who work there. The Madrid headquarters of the Afinance Group, located on Calle Serrano, is conceived as a serious and elegant environment that moves away from the cold, hierarchical character of the conventional office.
The project places people at its centre and brings some of the warmth of a domestic interior into the workplace. A large, open and adaptable central area encourages collaboration and can accommodate different activities over time. On either side, glazed multipurpose rooms provide spaces for meetings and focused work without interrupting the visual continuity of the office.
Informal breakout areas are positioned at the ends of the floor plan, creating places for rest, interaction and spontaneous encounters.
Natural light, acoustic comfort, air quality, lighting and ergonomic furniture form part of a single strategy focused on wellbeing. The result is a flexible and welcoming workplace that expresses the company’s values and supports a more horizontal way of working.
